GMan's Automatic Timing Retard Eliminator (ATRE):Suzuki manufactures motorcycles with a different ignition map for each gear. In the lower gears, the ignition timing is retarded. The ATRE sends a fixed signal for fifth gear to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) which eliminates the timing retardation and enables a more responsive throttle and faster acceleration in the lower gears.If your VStrom has a Gear Position Indicator or Overdrive Light they will be disabled when using this ATRE.
This will in no way harm the operation of the motorcycle!
